Author Guidelines
Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to JEDIS: Journal of Education and Islamic Studies are encouraged to follow the guidelines below to ensure the quality and consistency of published articles.
1. General Requirements
- The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- The manuscript may be written in English or Indonesian.
- The manuscript should be relevant to the journal’s focus and scope in the fields of education and Islamic studies.
- Authors are fully responsible for the content of the manuscript.
2. Manuscript Structure
The manuscript should generally consist of the following sections:
- Title
- Author(s) Name and Affiliation
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Introduction
- Research Method
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
3. Manuscript Format
- The manuscript should be typed in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
- Paper size: A4
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
- Manuscript length: approximately 10–20 pages including references and appendices.
4. Abstract and Keywords
- The abstract should be written in one paragraph with a maximum of 250 words.
- The abstract should briefly describe the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the study.
- Provide 3–5 keywords representing the main topics of the manuscript.
5. Citation and References
- References and citations should follow the APA Style (latest edition).
- Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
- References should primarily consist of recent scholarly sources such as journal articles, books, and reputable academic publications.
6. Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts will undergo an initial editorial review followed by a double-blind peer-review process. The editorial board reserves the right to accept, revise, or reject manuscripts based on reviewers’ recommendations and editorial considerations.
7. Plagiarism Policy
The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism. All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with a high level of similarity may be rejected.
8. Submission Process
Authors must submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are encouraged to register and log in before submitting their manuscripts.
9. Copyright Notice
Authors retain the copyright of their published work while granting the journal the right of first publication. Published articles may be used for educational and academic purposes with proper citation.
