Peer Review Process

JEDIS: Journal of Education and Islamic Studies implements a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of every published manuscript.

In the double-blind review process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to maintain an objective and fair evaluation.

Review Process

  1. All submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the editorial team to evaluate their suitability with the journal’s focus, scope, writing guidelines, and publication ethics.
  2. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent to at least two reviewers who have expertise relevant to the manuscript topic.
  3. The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, academic contribution, methodology, clarity, relevance, and quality of references.
  4. Reviewers provide recommendations categorized as:
    • Accepted without revision
    • Accepted with minor revisions
    • Accepted with major revisions
    • Rejected
  5. Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ comments and suggestions within the specified time.
  6. The editorial board makes the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance based on reviewers’ recommendations and editorial considerations.
  7. The editor reserves the right to make minor editorial changes to improve clarity, consistency, and formatting without altering the substance of the manuscript.
  8. The peer review process is conducted confidentially and professionally to maintain academic publication standards and support the advancement of scholarly research in education and Islamic studies.
