Peer Review Process
JEDIS: Journal of Education and Islamic Studies implements a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of every published manuscript.
In the double-blind review process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to maintain an objective and fair evaluation.
Review Process
- All submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the editorial team to evaluate their suitability with the journal’s focus, scope, writing guidelines, and publication ethics.
- Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be sent to at least two reviewers who have expertise relevant to the manuscript topic.
- The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, academic contribution, methodology, clarity, relevance, and quality of references.
- Reviewers provide recommendations categorized as:
- Accepted without revision
- Accepted with minor revisions
- Accepted with major revisions
- Rejected
- Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ comments and suggestions within the specified time.
- The editorial board makes the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance based on reviewers’ recommendations and editorial considerations.
- The editor reserves the right to make minor editorial changes to improve clarity, consistency, and formatting without altering the substance of the manuscript.
- The peer review process is conducted confidentially and professionally to maintain academic publication standards and support the advancement of scholarly research in education and Islamic studies.
